The Panorama Radiology Specialists team is delighted for our clinic to have won the 2024 Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence Award for Qld commercial fitouts under $25 million! We would like to extend our thanks to our very talented construction partners at Belnic Constructions including Karl Bell, Nicole Detsimas and David Harper, with fitout design collaboration by Dr Angus Watts and designer Jose Esquivel.
The 1300sqm Panorama Radiology site was originally a popular skating rink in the 80’s known as Skaters Paradise, and was developed by Dr Angus Watts and the Belnic team as a large format, state of the art, comprehensive radiology clinic with 90 on-site carparks, representing the largest non-hospital medical imaging clinic in SE Queensland.
The purpose-built Panorama facility accommodates state of the art 3T MRI and 640 slice CT with server space for advanced AI image post processing, artwork and in scan MRI audiovisual entertainment facilities for optimal patient comfort. The fitout encompasses advanced EOS spine and body scanner for precision assessment of scoliosis and leg lengths, five Ultrasound suites with state of the art Ultrasound equipment, Echocardiography, DEXA Bone Densitometry & Body Composition scanning, General and Dental XRays, and purpose-built spaces for the clinic’s interventional radiology specialist doctors to perform precision imaging-guided pain management procedures in a calm space designed to foster a comfortable patient experience.
The clinic also features premium in-house Conference Facilities for Panorama’s medical education program, and stunning landscape photography by leading Queensland photographer John Wright in a gallery-style format.
Within the Panorama space are 400sqm of specialist consulting suites which will be a home for the Gold Coast Orthopedic and Spine Surgical Centre from September 2024, offering a much-needed a ‘one stop shop’ of comprehensive specialist consulting, diagnostic imaging and pain management services for patients with spine and joint conditions under one roof.
A big thanks to the Belnic team for their outstanding efforts in the clinic’s development, and we look forward to the AIB National Building Awards in late 2024.
