He later served as Clinical Director at SCR and sat on the national COVID19 committee before moving on after 18 years as a fulltime radiologist at SCR to found a new independent practice, Panorama Radiology Specialists.

Angus provided diagnostic and interventional radiology services at Pindara and John Flynn Private Hospitals for 18 years, including musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, imaging-guided pain management procedures and biopsies, vascular access and endovascular intervention , CT Coronary Angiography, oncology imaging, prostate mpMRI, women’s imaging, paediatric, emergency and general radiology services.
Over 2 decades in private radiology on the Gold Coast, Angus has earned a reputation for his meticulous attention to detail, depth of clinical experience, results-driven approach to interventional procedures and a tireless work ethic. Since 2004 Angus has performed an estimated 35,000 imaging-guided procedures, reported around 50,000 MRI studies, and is regularly sought after for an opinion on complex clinical cases by leading specialists and GPs.
Angus grew up in regional NSW and Brisbane, then completed 6 years of Medical School at the University of Queensland. After 3 years of residency at the Gold Coast Hospital and a year in General Practice in Brisbane during which he completed his RANZCR Part 1 exams, Angus undertook the 5 year RANZCR radiology specialist training program at Royal Brisbane Hospital, and completed sub-specialist Fellowships in Interventional and Musculoskeletal Radiology.

An accredited Level B (Senior) CT Coronary Angiography reader, Angus and has a keen interest in the evolution of high resolution low dose CTCA technology using AI and its role in clinical practice, including recent quantum advances in CTCA radiation dose reduction.
Angus is one of a handful of radiologists in the region who read Prostate mpMRI (multiparametric MRI), a groundbreaking technology that has changed the way prostate cancer is diagnosed and managed, by enabling detection of small prostate cancers. Angus trained with pioneering Prostate mpMRI radiologist, Dr Eamonn McAteer.
An avid rugby and cricket fan, and a lifelong surfer, moving into musculoskeletal radiology was a natural progression for Angus. Over 20 years of clinical radiology practice he has gained extensive experience in orthopaedic, sports medicine and rheumatological imaging and intervention.
After almost 2 decades in practice, Angus came to believe that the optimal environment to deliver his services lay in a smaller, boutique format, alongside a team of skilled technologists and leading edge technology. From that vision, Panorama Radiology Specialists was borne, with the philosophy of providing a personalised, patient-focussed service dedicated to high quality imaging, continuing medical education, and exploring emerging technologies.
Outside radiology, Angus is also an award-winning screenwriter and feature film producer through his production company Closereef Productions, a member of Screen Producers Australia and the Australian Writers’ Guild, and a passionate supporter of the Gold Coast Film Festival and emerging filmmakers.
Angus wrote and produced outback thriller ‘Locusts‘ which was released in cinemas nationally in 2019, played at 18 festivals around the world, and won numerous awards including the Australian Cinematographer’s Society Award of Distinction and an ARIA Awards nomination for Best Score in 2019. ‘Locusts‘ is streaming on Prime, 7+ and Stan.
